The Combustion and Thermodynamic System Academic Team of Beijing Jiaotong University has is a strong academic group. There are 4 teachers and 12 graduate students currently, including 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 1 lecturer, 9 post-graduate students and 3 PhD students. Prof. He Boshu, a PhD supervisor, is the group leader.

Our research interests are focused primarily in on clean and high efficient coal combustion, coal gasification, air pollution prevention (SO₂, NO_x, inhalable particles, mercury, etc.), thermodynamic system optimization and graded use of energy, etc. Meanwhile, we carry out fundamental researches on multiphase of gas, liquid and solid, heterogeneous reaction, quantum chemistry, thermotechnical testing and large-scale computer numerical simulation, etc. Our team has cooperation with some high level research groups and we participate in and undertake national frontier science and technology projects.

Our team has researched on both theory and technology of energy and related fields for a long time and keeps up with international advanced energy theory and technology. Under the support of National Science Foundation and The National Key Technology R&D Program, our team has accumulated rich experience in research. During recent years, our team has published more than 80 papers in leading national and international journals and conferences, and more than 40 papers are indexed by SCI and EI.
