The Laboratory of New Energy Automobile Powertrain Technology is set up jointly by Beijing Jiaotong university and Foton automobile engineering research institute. It takes new energy vehicle power system as the object to study and takes mechanical-electrical integration, new energy technology and advanced control technology as the methods to research. The laboratory developed a new type of powertrain. The key parts of the new energy vehicles made a series of innovation achievements and occupied a leading position in China.

 

The laboratory closely connects with the development of new energy vehicles in the demand of Beijng and our country. It makes a deep and systematic research in many aspects, such as the control technology of new energy vehicle power system, alternative energy vehicle power technology, power battery and its charging technology, low-emission and energy saving technology of powertrain. At the same time, the laboratory cooperates with related enterprises to accelerate the development of relevant technology in the bus, municipal vehicles and passenger vehicles, etc, which can actively promote the industrialization of new energy vehicles and develop the industrialization base of electric/hybrid vehicles and parts production so as to realize the energy saving and new energy vehicle industry development by leaps and bounds in Beijing.

 

The laboratory has been recognized as the key laboratory of Beijingwhich has engine and electric control system test bench, electric/hybrid powertrain test platform and the vehicle simulation platform, including many instruments and simulation system, such as AVL internal combustion engine integrated digital analyzer, AVL exhaust gas analyzer, CB466 combustion analyzer, Kistler in-cylinder pressure sensor, charge-amplifier, natural gas mass flow meter, dynamics simulation, vehicle engine simulation, CAN network system analysis, Vector development tools and DSPACE hardware in the loop real-time simulation.

 

General objectives for the laboratory are social economic sustainable development and eco-environment protection construction, which takes clean auto power as the main line and takes energy management and optimization of low emission vehicle, multi energy device and its control system and the battery management system in new electric vehicles as the main research direction. The laboratory actively carry out the basic theory research in new energy power system and integrated control of vehicle power supply and it has acquired a lot of research achievements in leading level both at home and abroad in the new fuel engine electronic control technology, the power energy management system and hybrid electric vehicles, which have academic significance and practical value in engineering.
