Cooperation Ceremony between Northern Illinois University and BJTU was held in our School on May 22nd

A formal cooperation ceremony was held in the mechanical laboratory building in the afternoon of May 22nd, 2009. At the ceremony, the School of Mechanical, electronic and Control Engineering exchange the MOE and sign the cooperation agreement on “4+1” education cooperation with the Department of Mechanical Engineering of NIU.

The ceremony was held by the vice dean of the School, Prof. Liu Zhiming. The dean of our school and the director of the international office took part in the ceremony.

The dean of our School, Prof. li Jianyong, and the head of the department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Simon Song of NIU exchanged the MOE and signed the cooperation agreement, they both presented good wills to develop more and further friendly cooperation with NIU.

NIU was founded in 1895，a comprehensive university in USA. Prof. Song took 9 students to visit our school.

After the ceremony, Prof. Song gave a seminar on“Research on Robotics and walking machines”； Prof. Liu Zhiming gave a seminar on “Development of High Speed EMU in China”.
